The Brisker Derech

The Brisker method, rooted in the Soloveitchik dynasty, approaches Talmudic analysis through precise logical structures in Halacha. Rav Moshe Twersky zt"l hy"d — grandson of Ha'Rav Ha'Gaon Rabbi Yosef Dov Ha'Levi Soloveitchik ztllh"h — transmitted this tradition with clarity and depth throughout his over twenty years as a rebbi in Yeshivas Toras Moshe.

Each piece in this collection reflects the hallmark of the Brisker derech: dissecting a sugya into its conceptual components, distinguishing between the cheftza (the object) and the gavra (the person), and uncovering the underlying definitions that drive halachic rulings.
